It was too late,I could not find the way to my hotel. So I asked a man.I spoke not only very slowly ,but very clearly.He could not understand me. I repeated my question several times. At last he understood. He answered me. He spoke neither slowly nor clearly. My teacher never spoke Chinese like that. "I am a foreigner"I said. Then he spoke slowly.But I could not understand him. "You will learn Shanghai language if you stay here for three months" he said.
