教師節的應為是Teachers‘ Day。
Teachers為老師的意思，而Day是某壹天的意思，所以教師節英文是Teachers‘ Day。
“尊師重教”是我國的優秀的傳統文化，早在西周時期，我國就提出“弟子事師，敬同於父”。教師這個詞有兩個意義，壹個是指壹種社會角色，另壹個意思指這壹角色的承擔者。教師節創辦的原因，是帶有明確的尊師重教的美好願望，希望通過教師節的設立達到尊重教師、重視教育的目的。 不僅我國有教師節，其實國外很多國家和地區也都設立了教師節，例如泰國教師節為1月16日，德國為6月12日。
